Facebook picture reveals a crime against police WYMT A 20-year-old man in Letcher County admits he stole gas from a police cruiser as he posed for a picture while the hose was in the police crusier's tank as he waved at them with an obscene hand gesture and I don't think that he was saying they were number one.  This, quoted from Baker, "We was just standing there and thought it would be funny to take a picture and then post it on Facebook." Baker's girlfriend snapped the picture of him that she says was meant to be a joke. But, it wasn't so funny when the cuffs were put on Baker and he was put in the back of a police cruiser.  "We don't steal anyway, but we're sorry," said Joann Sandelin, Baker's girlfriend.  At first the duo was reluctant to talk, but as the interview continued, Baker loosened up and his honesty might surprise you. "I got a little bit of gas. I ain't gonna lie.  But, not much.  I couldn't get much.  I tried, but there wasn't much in it," said Baker.  A little gas or a lot of gas, it is still the same crime in the eyes of law enforcement.  "If they're going to do it to a police car, they're going to do it to just about anybody," said Jenkins Police Chief, Allen Bormes.  Baker spent a night in jail for his offense and was charged with theft by unlawful taking, but he says he is not sorry for what he did.  Officials at the Jenkins Police Department say they are taking necessary precautions to avoid another event like this one and plan to have lockable gas caps in the near future. Police said 33-year-old Jermaine Washington allegedly was so intent on robbing someone Saturday that he pulled a fake handgun on the two uniformed armed police officers as they walked through Riverside Park, The New York Daily News said. "It was stupid criminal tricks," a police source said.  "The guy didn't even look to see who was coming." After Washington allegedly pulled his fake gun, the two officers drew their real weapons and Washington surrendered after a short but tense standoff. Naked Man Fights Cops: Job-seeker Jose Ayala Arrested in Sacramento From the Huffington Post: It's a rookie mistake at the informal interview: not wearing clothes. A naked numskull -- apparently on methamphetamine -- was caught on tape asking for a job at a welding shop on Saturday and then trying to fight off arresting officers in Sacramento.  The shop owner, Chris Johnson, told the station, "I turn around and I'm like, whoa!"  "He said something about [how] he was looking for work, and he was good with his hands.  I didn't know why a naked dude would be in my shop."  The guy stares off into space and scratches his head, either squatting or walking around aimlessly just outside the shop.  But, when officers arrive, he becomes irate trying to fight them off and even latching on to a female cop's hair before Johnson and his brother help pry the nude man off of her. With a winning vote of 4½ dunce meter.       We went with a song from  Project Sisyphus: Take My Job Away Current Status - Drunk, Current Occupation - Hopefully Unemployed From Lumpy's neck of the woods, Fox News reports that the Eastlake police noticed a woman driving erratically and pulled her over.  In the woman's purse was a half empty bottle of vodka, while on the passenger seat, a driver's log indicating that she had just dropped off a student and  the car she was driving was a Driver's Ed. car!  Her current and hopefully former occupation, a student driving instructor. While I understand that such a job may lead to a desire to drink, I would hope that she could at least wait until she got home.  Also of note, the local news ran police dash cam videos of this incident yesterday.  I am confident that, even to the casual observer, the woman was not simply drunk... plastered would be a much better term. You're not supposed to drink and drive. You're definitely not supposed to drink and feed a baby...with your alcoholic breast milk. And you're MOST DEFINITELY not supposed to get drunk, go walking into your neighbor's house, and start breast feeding someone ELSE'S baby. Twenty-four year old Rebecca Silva denied the allegations, stating she didn't try to breast feed that baby. She got off lucky on this one, only being charged with "unlawful occupancy."
