Thanxmas, Better than Thanksgiving, Better than Christmas, because it is both…
If any of you want to see a small show in a venue with totally kewl atmosphere and charm, try and get to Rider’s Inn in Painesville, Ohio this Friday. Thomas Reed Smith, one the artists featured on our bot and/or podcasts here at the station, will be playing there December 7th. And, fear not, he is bringing the chicken.
The atmosphere is cozy, comfy and homey. The music is always good.
Taking a Break to Make it Even Better
I like it when bands make good choices. Worth the Wait, in my opinion, is doing just that. According to a post at their Facebook page, they are going take a bit of a break. Unlike many bands who do so due to conflict within, they are doing so for all the right reasons. This band is taking a break for all the right reasons. They are focusing on making their “come back” to mean a better band.
Barry McCabe I Wonder
Barry McCabe is one talented musician. He blends blues, rock and a dash of Celtic to create tunes that are both eclectic and uniquely his style. Having exchanged emails with him over the years I feel he is a musician who genuinely enjoys connecting with his fans. This is very evident if you check out the energy he pumps out during live performances.
Indie Nation Listeners,

Recently, I got a chance to interview my friend Corissa Bragg a local singer/songwriter and actress. We chatted a bit about acting, music, her upcoming journey to India, and her last hurrah here in Cleveland before the big trip.
Bragg recently stared in “My City” a short that follows a young musician on a course of self discovery as she decides what to do with her future. The film was written and directed by local filmmaker Kyle Retter and was shot in partnership with Shoot It Already Films this summer. It will be premiering at Arts in Collinwood December 28, 2011, at 7 o’clock and admission is free. Come early for some great food, drink, and a chance to hang out with the cast and crew, doors open at 6.
