Lila Cheney – An Awesome Xmen Themed Music Video

I really like this video by Lila Cheney & The New Mutants. I hope the copyright vultures don’t swoop down on this creative parody. It is too kewl to have its innards torn out of the Internet. I don’t think it is super spectacular but it is a perfect fit for myself. Maybe it goes back to my childhood.  I was into both Xmen and music before I was school.

I love the theme. I love the effects and I especially love how well the music and the video work with each other.

Back to my childhood for a second, I have been in love with The X-men since childhood. I don’t remember exactly when I fell in love with the comic but I do recall it was before I was in kindergarten. My personal favorite is still Wolverine.

I fell in love with music at a pre-school age as well. One Christmas Eve I was given an electronic organ… by Christmas Day, I had figured out Silent Night.

Enough about me. Check out the video and, if it moves you, read more about it after you watch it.

Before I continue, I am going quote the Superhero Pop website:

SuperheroPop is a work of FAN PARODY. The producers claim no rights to pre-existing characters and details, nor are they endorsed or affiliated with the respective rights holders.

The video you just watched is actually a sequel to another great video The Sight of the Sound you can find at the YouTube link below. Both are the work of Superhero Pop, currently featuring Alison Blaire and Lila Cheney. Both are directed by Arvin Bautista. Personally, I am hoping that we see more characters doing more music videos.

I urge you all to check out more about both Arvin Bautista and Superhero Pop at the links below.

Arvin does more than just Xmen parody work. He has done a Doritos commercial for that game that we need permission to use the name of, a short original science fiction film (Vultures in the Void), and much more.  The Greasy Pig Studios videos have great actors, awesome special effects, and are, in all ways, top-notch and professional.

Thanks for reading and feel free to comment.
