Jimi Hendrix – Moebius (S)trip
Before license fees changed it all, MTv transformed music into the realm of the visual. Music videos added another layer of creativity to music.
Less than a year ago, Google launched Deep Dream, AI software to create videos. The video below is the work of YouTuber Lulu xXX. A live performance of Hendrix playing Hey Joe fused with the art of Jean Giraud aka Moebius.

Elessar Thiessen – A Rainy Week in Paradise
Elessar Thiessen is a Winnipeg singer/songwriter. His “day job” is a producer. However, he is certainly not a musician who “shouldn’t give up his day job”. He has more than enough talent to give up producing and just play. According to his bio, he got his first guitar at age 8 and has played ever since. It also said that the Canadian weather kept the young musician indoors. One thing for sure, whether due to weather or just talent, his latest work shows off not only his production skills but also his talent for composing and playing.
While he does get some help from other artists on some tracks, he is basically the musician on this album. (And, naturally, the producer.) His latest work is a showcase of how many things he can do well, very well or exceptionally well. His voice is excellent. He uses it well, capitalizing on rhythm, tone, and amplitude to powerfully and emotionally deliver the song. The lyrics and their delivery add more, he knows when to simply repeat lines for emphasis, pump it out with more soul, slide it off his tongue in smooth jazzy style and,use expression and words to paint a picture in the listener’s mind’s eye.

2014.08.25 – Tech Net News and Opinion – Gaming News
Brian thought it might be a good idea to try to break the news up into more organized groups. After only one show’s worth of hindsight, I would have to agree that it seems like a great idea. It certainly seems to encourage more conversation from the chat room and I already know it made it easier on the post edit.
The stories in this edited news cast shall focus on gaming. We feel the more choices we give the listeners, the happier they will be. Please comment, use our on-site form or email us with your opinion. Hopefully you shall enjoy this new, more structured, format.
Tech Net News and Opinion – Smart Cars
While doing our weekly live news broadcast, we noticed we had a good number of stories on newer tech in automobiles. This topic is something that Lumpy has followed for a few years. (Maybe it has to do with the fact that he converted a 1971 Impala while in high school.) Nonetheless, we are convinced that the cars of tomorrow are going to be considerably different from those of today.
Please listen in and if you ever wish to give us your opinion leave a comment, join us in #indienation on Geekshed.net IRC, or, better yet, join us live on the air Mondays 8-10 pm EST where you can voice your opinion live. (You can get details on how to join us in IRC.)
Four Stories About Google
Brian and I both like Google very much. Very often on Monday nights, we end up with many Google news stories. This week was one of those weeks and we decided we would wrap the four of them into a downloadable news podcast.
Governor Jerry Brown signed a bill that will make driverless cars legal in California. I feel it is appropriate that the bill was signed at Google headquarters with the governor arriving in one of those said cars… Wait, does that mean he broke the law on the way there?
2012.06.04 – Tech Net News and Opinion
Welcome to this week’s episode of Tech Net News and Opinion. This week we accidentally/intentionally did things a bit differently. For those of you who have been asking for more news and less music, you got it. Brian, Knowles, Meshelly, Knunez (iPhone at Geekshed), OmniDragon and Lumpy start and end this week’s show with music but the rest is all news talk.
Remember listeners and readers, if you wish to participate, the way to do so is to get on over to the Geekshed IRC Network and join us in #indienation. We do the news live almost every Monday from 8-10 PM EST. (As a general rule, if a Monday is a holiday in the USA, we do NOT do the news.) If you have items you think we should cover as news, shoot us an email at email@example.com or tweet us @indienationfm.
