Here is our interview with Crazy Dee at this year’s Indie Gathering. This is fourth installment of many in a series of interviews at the 2011 Indie Gathering event. This is an annual international event usually held at the Westlake Holiday Inn in the greater Cleveland, Ohio area. This was the event’s fifteenth year.

Crazy Dee has been around and involved in indie music for many years.  His local record store has a trend setting USB kiosk where listeners can go and legally put music on their thumb drives.  He also records local musicians and, more recently, utilizes local actors and actresses in his movie productions.  Listen in as Dee and Lumpy discuss many things indie.

(Regrettably, the audio is less than perfect due to an annoying heater/AC unit in the background but the content is excellent and audible.  Lumpy chose to make his own voice a bit buzzy and tried to focus on cleaning up Dee’s… So no, I don’t need any get well wishes for laryngitis.  If I had not done it this way, Dee would have been buried by the AC hum.)

It is an annual international event usually held at the Westlake Holiday Inn in the greater Cleveland, Ohio area. This was the event’s fifteenth year.

Mr. Alexander was involved in this event as a camera operator.  He has been involved with the event since 2003.  This year he was making sure that all of the excellent seminars and presentations would be available to the world. He, however, has screened some of his work at the festival in the past.

He is a huge science fiction fan and has five full features length films to his credit, a great deal of knowledge about films and the indie film business. He is much more than a cinematographer.  He writes, acts, edits, directs, produces and, if you spend just a few minutes reading over his fimography and listen to him tell us about his passion for film as an art, gives great advice for those who are interested in getting involved in indie film.
