1000 FuMPs – The 1000th Release by The FuMP
The FuMP are one of my favorites. They have helped us much by sharing their music. I am very happy to an awesome announcement about The Funny Music Project. They have just released their 1000th song, 1000 FuMPs.

An Interview with The Great Luke Ski
The Great Luke Ski is a multi-talented man. He is energetic, entertaining, genuine and hilarious. He does stand up, music, cartoons, collects everything, is a member of The FuMP and gave us his time for an interview.
Luke Ski is Dr. Demento’s most requested artist of the 21st century. Replacing the earlier top-requested, Weird Al. He has also won Logan Awards for Snoopy the Dogg and When You Wish Upon a Death Star. He does a podcast, Bad Rapport with fellow FuMP member, Carrie Dahlby. He is a regular convention performer and this year would be his 20th performing the Gen Con in Indianapolis.
You can read more about Luke at his About Page. You can also listen in as Luke and Lumpy discuss:

The Great Luke is a regular to many cons, according to his website:
San Diego Comic-Con, Star Wars Celebration, Dragon*Con, WorldCon, NASFIC, Creation’s 40th Anniversary Star Trek Convention, GenCon Indy, Origins, Nerdapalooza and many more. He also is the chair of the comedy music track at MarsCon in the Twin Cities (marscondementia.com).
If at all possible, I suggest you catch up with Luke Ski when he is on the road. He also often works with others such as members of the FuMP. This year at Gen Con he did a Friday Night Live show which included many other comedy musicians and had Whitney Avalon perform a few at another show he did at Gen Con this year. Of note, Whitney Avalon and Jonathan Hurley won a Logan award, Outstanding Comedy Music Video, for That Doesn’t Make Sense.
Talking Gen Con 2014 on Tech Net News and Opinion
If you have never been to a Gen Con, Lumpy will spend almost one-quarter of the show playing some of the artists who performed there and talking about his experience. Lumpy had never attended a Gen Con before. There are a few things he knows for sure:
- He had a great time
- He got many interviews
- He learned much
- He has every intention of returning in 2015
We opened the show with a few tracks from some of the artists who were at Gen Con:
Both of the artists above are members of The FuMP. Thanks to Through Gamer Goggles Lumpy got to attend Gen Con and that is what this edited news edition is all about:
Podcaster, Musician, Cartoonist and an Awesome Dude – The Great Luke Ski
Before we even get started, I am not biased… I just have good taste and recognize amazing talent. I have been a fan of this man an his work for as long as I have been a DJ who spins indie music. I don’t think I am exaggerating, below are a few reasons why:

I found out about this funny mock commercial from Funny or Die at a post which is much more serious. I would encourage you to read the more serious post at TechDirt. Unfortunately, the reason this video, featuring former porn star Sasha Grey, is funny is because it is true.

Todrick Hall has rewritten the classic fairy tale Cinderella
In Cinderfella Todrick tells the classic fairy tale from a young Gay man’s point of view, with an amazing cast, Cinderfella will give you goosebumps throughout the video with the blend of 40’s classics and Disney music as well as some of today’s hits sung to an original beat. The message of this video is clear, and powerful (and if for some odd reason you miss the point Todrick makes sure you get it at the end of the video).

2012.06.22 – Stupid As Charged
This week’s “Stupid As Charged” consists of three stories which all share the theme of stupid, dumb, strange, weird or in some other manner are worthy of a dunce cap rating. In particular this episode; Robbed you thrice, same place, and almost got away with it, drug money, a dirty cop, strippers, and you got a DUI?!? That’s okay, I left the baby on the roof.
